The extract is well-written. The protagonist is a female detective namend Lindsey and the book is written from the first-person-point of view. She is on her way with her partner. They are close, but more like sister and brother. They talk business but they also talk about private things.
They get a call from Claire Washburn who is San Francisco’s Chief Medical Examiner. She tells them to check out an accident. It turns out that they had belly bombs, which exploded. It is a very interesting beginning and the first English book I see here.
