Lindsay and her colleague Rich are slowly making their way through traffic, when they are asked to come to the scene of what seems like a traffic accident by Claire, the Chief Medical Examiner. She believes that what seems like an accident may have been murder. The weapon of choice may have been what they choose to call "belly bombs". Lindsay acts quickly and declares the area a crime scene. Seeing as the explosion has occured on the Golden Gate Bridge, a terror attack cannot be eliminated. The FBI is called to the scene. Claire finds out that the bombs consisted of a magnesium compound that interacts with stomach acid. The burgers the victims had are from a chain of fast-food restaurants called Chuck's Prime. The search for the criminal begins...
First off, I am glad to find an english book on this website. It adds a whole new dimension to Vorablesen and expands the variety of literature to be found here greatly! I like the writing style of Patterson. His characters are well developed and the reader learns a bit about their private lives as well. I am excited to find out what happens next!
