I just love the books by James Patterson centering around Alex Cross. But somehow I haven't started on the Woman-Murder-Club series yet, since I normally like to start with the first book in the series. But as far as the sample from the book goes there was no need to know anything from previous books. Maybe it becomes more important when we learn more about the storyline with the ex-colleage? Normally a good author puts just enough details in a book so that a new reader also understand everything that is important and I trust James Patterson to be that good.

The fact that all the books in this series have a number in it is very similar to the Stephanie-Plum-series by Janet Evanovich. But I liked what I read here in this example better than the book by Evanovich that I've tried. Still, it's difficult to rate a book by only a couple of pages, especially when it's a thriller and the decision between it being a good or bad book is often made at the end when the case is solved. But I give it 3 stars with high hopes that the whole book will get a higher rating.
