When two students are killed in a car crash on the San Francisco Bay Bridge, at the first glance, everything seems to be an accident. But they were killed by "belly bombs" exploding inside them.
As if this case wasn't enough, Lindsay Boxer finds out that Mackie Morales, a former colleague who turned out to be the lover of Randy Fish, a sadist serial killer, is back in town ready to take revenge on her!

First of all I must say that this was my first James Patterson thriller and so I don't know anything about the content and quality of his other books. Nevertheless, I could follow the story very well (even the Mackie Morales part) and I can say that I liked it!
The chapters were all nice and short so that I always kept on reading to find out what would happen next! Although it was an English original, the language was not too complicated and therefore quite easy to read and understand.
All members of the Women's Murder Club are very interesting characters and thus I liked them a lot.
The story itself was exciting, but here and there, there seemed to be too many coincidences to be actually "real"! In my opinion, one could defenitely have made more out of the bomb story, but the ending was ok.
All in all, I liked this thriller quite much because of the nice protagonists and the interesting story! Thanks to vorablesen for this English original and I hope there will soon be following more!
